Closing was late...

We were supposed to close on our mortgage yesterday, Sept. 4th, but there was a small problem. When we got our RO water system put in, we financed it, but what we didn't know was they put a lien on our house. So we tried to subordinate, at the request of the water company's finance dept. Then they (the water company) turned it downed. WTH!!! So we had to do a pay-off which is fine, but it held up the closing a couple days... So we are looking at Thurs. or Fri. We ended up closing on Sept. 13th... 9 days late...

Closing...

Well the loan was approved... We close on Sept. 4th... I gave all the paperwork to Nadine to fax on Fri... Hopefully that is all they will want... Ugh... At least it is much easier this time around than last time... That was a nightmare... We didn't know until the day of closing if we were approved for the loan or not... It was awful... But we made it... With the increase to take place in Jan. we are now saving $300-$400 dollars/month... Yippee... Great timing, but i've been trying to get DH to do this since April... but better late than never...

Our Grand Opening...

My work is having a ribbon cutting today... and grand opening is Sat. The new store looks great... the color scheme, new products, layout... it's very exciting, it's like starting a new job all over again... i open Sat. we are giving away promotional freebies to the 1st 500 people through the door... new sales flyer, lots of sales... fun, fun, fun... i can't wait...

The Mortgage...

The bank called yesterday the refinancing loan was approved... The apprasier came by today, all went well, i think... Closing should be in a couple weeks with 0 down... Yippee... We are going escrow... PITI all included... 7.3% fixed...saving about $200 a month... We will wait until Sept. or Oct. for the car, which is fine...

Friday was a big day...

I ran some errands in the morning... When Rich came home he said he wanted to take me somewhere, but it was a secert. We ended up at a car lot, and test drove a new car, Kia Sorento... very cute, it drove great... we talked about it and thought it would be better to wait till Sept. or Oct., when the 08's come out and get an 07 cheaper... Then we went to the bank to combine our checking accounts... and ended up refinancing our mortgage... PITI at 7.3% fixed...cutting our % rate in half, saving us $200 a month... yippee. that will be my car payment... so Friday was a very BIG day...

Training Day!!!

Today was training day at work... At 1st i was dreading it, but it turned out to be a great day!!! The (newbies) were awesome... smart, fun, and caught on quick... I'll be training again Thurs.

One of my bosses told me on Mon. that he asked for me specifically... which was cool. He said it was because of my great personality, customer skills and energy level... I appreciated the vote of confidence... that was awesome...

Cedar Key...

It was such a nice little town. Very old time. Lots of boats, shops, docks, birds. We got fresh pineapple sickles pops, they were yummy. Saltwater taffy and homemade fudge. We coasted the shoreline looking for seashells but only found a few.

There were these adorable little cottages you could rent by day, week, or month. If we go again we might do that, but just for the weekend or so. There was a wonderful museum, St. Clair Whitman. Very nice, old artifacts from 1800's, and Whitman's house restored, it reminded of my g-grandma's house. Old time icebox, cool old stove, beautiful old furniture. It was great!!! We had a wonderful time...

New Yard...

We sodded our backyard today. I'm so happy, it looks great. No more sand. It was getting bad especially with the rainy season. Dogs were tracking mud in the house. And it will be better when Sophie has her puppies.

Going on a day trip tomorrow to Cedar Key. Never been before, but I heard it is beautiful. It should be fun. I tell you about it tomorrow.
